Kinect help - someday...

I have tried to make my Kinect work but I think it's a bit beyond me at the moment. I am looking forward to some tutorials.

When you do get around to making them I hope you spend some time on the general setup. I can get the camera. sensor, and sound to work bust I can't seem to get control of the motor. Also, it crashes MovieSandbox whenever I use it and once broke the app to the point I had to delete and make fresh copy.

I don't think it's a problem with MovieSandbox because other demo apps and homebrew Kinect tests also crash.

I will try to get a video up this week. I know that Kinect installation is a bit of a pain and I will take extra care to talk about the general setup.
What system are you running on, if I may ask?

Windows 7 32bit Quad core 2.66

don't worry too much, I would be able to work it out eventually. I can see that you are going to be busy enough soon.

windows is my main computer but I also have a mac and I play with some Linux distros. I would consider using those if you think it would be a better experience.
